Fees
Fees vary by service and are subject to change. Clients pay up front, either at or before the time of service, depending on the service. Currently, 50 minute individual therapy sessions cost $250 per session, and small group therapy, when offered, costs $100 per session.

Insurance
As of February 22, 2025, North Star Therapy is credentialed with Point32 Health in Massachusetts, which includes both Harvard Pilgrim Health and Tufts Health.
We are an out-of-network provider (private pay only) for all other insurance plans.
Some insurance plans (i.e., PPO plans) offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network services. To determine what out-of-network coverage you have, you can contact your insurance company directly. We will provide you with "super bills", a detailed receipt with the necessary diagnostic and billing codes, to submit for out-of-network benefits.
Insurance Reimbursement Example
Client A (PPO) pays our full fee until they meet their deductible, which is $4k annually. Once the deductible is met, the insurance company reimburses 80% of the fee (in arrears).
Process
- The client pays our full fee at the time of service
- We provide a "super bill" to the client
- Client submits the "super bill" to their insurance company
- Insurance company reimburses 80% of fees paid (after deductible is met)
Annual Review
- Client pays $250/session for sixteen weeks
- Beginning week seventeen, insurance reimburses $200/session
- At year-end, the client spends $5,800 for weekly services ($4,000 deductible + $1,800), averaging $111/session
